Exercises To Calm Your Anxious Thoughts!

I’ve always found stretching and connecting with my body a way to calm my mind. It was also a way to connect my mind, body, and soul. It just seemed right. Who knew that it would emerge into this lifestyle that we currently know as yoga.

I introduce that to say that connecting with your body is more important than the exercise that you choose. Yoga, although I did not know what it was called at the time, is the exercise that always soothed my soul, and made me feel really good.

The reason that I will always advocate for yoga to ease your mind is because it allows for energy to flow throughout your body; and a huge part of “problems” that the humans species face, comes from pent up energy. To exercise in a capacity that releases the energy vs. uses the energy, will ensure that you stay in a repetitive pattern, that will not yield you the proper results that you seek.

I started without any directive, knowledge, or know how, so what I would do is find the place within my body that hurt, and I would focus on bringing relief to that specific area, through stretching.

Connecting your mind, body, and soul can bring a reassurance that will naturally calm any anxious thoughts that you currently hold.
